1) APPLICATOR BRUSH
Applicator brush for applying Paint and Varnish Removers.

2) TWO SCRUB/CLEANING PADS
Synthetic, all purpose, abrasive pads to remove residue and clean the surface.

3) USE OF PAINT SCRAPER AND BLADE
When using the scraper, place the scraper flush with the surface and apply just enough pressure to start your stroke, then ease up slightly and pull the scraper through the paint. Allow the scraper to glide smoothly across the surface. Never apply excessive pressure to the extent where the scraper gouges the wood. Flushness and pulling in even, controlled strokes work best. Adjusting the scraping angle is necessary because thin coats of paint require less scraping angle than thick coats. A clean scraper works best. Frequently clean away paint residue from the blade’s surface. Although the blade is highly resistant to damage, it is not entirely damage-proof. Avoid striking nails or other protruding objects. Prior to any stripping project countersink or remove all nails, screws and other metal objects protruding from the surface.

Sharpening the blade – Although the blade is made from durable stainless steel, it can be re-sharpened with just two or three strokes of a common mill bastard file. Using gloves, simply hold the scraper handle firmly in one hand and push the file away from you, keeping it parallel to the blade’s edge. File in one direction only. Power grinding is not recommended. After repeated filings, the blade will become worn and need replacement. Warning: The blade is extremely sharp, protective gloves should be worn when handling scraper or blade. Keep out of reach of children.
