HOW TO CHOOSE A PRODUCT (Homeowner & Professional)

Ready-Strip:

Project - Indoor or outside (out of direct sun): Use Ready-Strip to safely remove up to five layers of paint & varnish. It removes most household varieties of latex paint, oil based paint, enamels, alkyds, lacquers, clear coats, and polyurethanes. Use a combination of Ready-Strip and Ready-Strip Wash to remove stain. Ready-Strip is self–teaching. For those unfamiliar with paint or varnish removal, Ready-Strip "Changes Color" to signal the time for removal. The green stripper is applied to the surface and turns off-white when the paint or varnish is READY to be removed. Use Ready-Strip Wash Wash to remove residue and for clean up. Multi-Strip:

Project: Use indoor or outside. Use Multi-Strip to safely remove up to fifteen layers of paint and varnish. It can remove most varieties of oil or water-based paint including latex, alkyds, enamels, stain, lead, lacquers and clear paints. It can also remove more difficult coatings such as two-part epoxies, urethanes and mastics. It can be applied by brush, roller or standard airless paint sprayer. It can be scraped off or power-washed off.
(HINT- when power-washing, lay landscape fabric along the base of the building. It will catch the paint chips and allow the water to flow through). Power washing off lead paint may require special precautions. Use
Ready-Strip Wash Wash to remove residue and for clean up. See Technical Data for specific information.

Tough2-Strip:

Project: Tough2-Strip has all the advantages of Multi-Strip, but takes it 3 steps further. 1) When speed of removal important, a lighter coat of Tough2-Strip will remove 1-4 layers in 15 minutes to 4 hours. 2) A heavier application of Tough2-Strip can remove up to twenty layers of paint and varnish in one application. 3) Tough2-Strip is more aggressive on difficult coatings such as two-part epoxies and urethanes and is better than Multi-Strip on red lead primers on metal. Ultra-Strip:

Project: Ultra-Strip has all the advantages of Tough2-Strip, but takes it a step further. Ultra-Strip is even faster than Tough2-Strip. Ultra-Strip can remove even more difficult coatings than Tough2-Strip. Use Ready-Strip Wash Wash to remove residue and for clean up. See Technical Data for specific information

Liftn-Strip:

Project: Use indoor or outside. Liftn-Strip is a water-based alkaline paste designed to remove multiple layers of water or oil based paints . Compared to other caustic strippers on the market, it requires no paper covering, is faster, has greater coverage and is more economical. Liftn-Strip is very effective stripping orange or red lead primers on metal. Surfaces stripped with Liftn-Strip need to be neutralized with Back To Nature Neutralizer (an acid wash). Liftn-Strip can also be used on masonry and porous surfaces such as wood and plaster to remove high builds of paint provided a test patch is done to ensure that surface can be properly neutralized and that surface will remain undisturbed (Liftn-Strip may darken hardwoods, raise grain, potentially affect mortar joints and plaster). Aqua-Strip:

Project: For Boats: Aqua-Strip is a technically advanced, safer marine stripper designed to remove multiple layers of marine anti-fouling, top-side and other paints and varnishes in one application. Aqua-Strip will not damage fiberglass, the gel coat or any surface. Use Ready-Strip Wash Wash to remove residue and for clean up.

Aero-Strip:

Project: Small Projects: Aero-Strip: Aerosol Paint & Varnish Remover. is an exciting and convenient way of removing paint or varnish. The special blend of chemicals eliminates methylene chloride, caustic, or other harsh stripping chemicals so the remover is more user friendly. It removes most varieties of paints, varnishes, latex, alkyds, stains, enamels, lacquers, and polyurethanes. It works on interior and exterior surfaces. See Technical Data for specific information

Ready-Strip Wash:

Project: Ready-Strip Wash Paint Remover Wash safely and gently removes the residue and softened layers sometimes remaining after paint or varnish removal. It cleans and prepares the surface for refinishing. Used with the Back To Nature Paint & Varnish Removers, it also helps remove stains from wood.

Strip-Tox:

Project: For removal of Lead-based paints. Strip-Tox is a safe lead paint remover that performs similarly to Tough2-Strip on multiple layers of paint, but had the added advantage of rendering the lead paint waste
non-hazardous for disposal purposes. Use Ready-Strip Wash Wash to remove residue and for clean up. See Technical Data for specific information

Protect-A-Coat and BTN Exterior Encapsulant:

Project: Lead Paint Encapsulating Coatings. An alternative to lead paint removal where the surface is sound and intact. Protect-A-Coat Interior Lead Encapsulant & BTN Exterior Encapsulant have been specifically formulated to provide a remarkably sound and sturdy barrier between lead based paint and the environment. They are not recommended for certain high contact friction areas such as doors at door contact points, window sash liners or floors. Use Lead- Clean to clean or degloss gloss surfaces prior to application. .

Lead-Clean:

Project: Lead dust cleaner and paint deglosser. A special NON-TSP formula eliminates lead dust, the most common cause of lead poisoning. Lead-Clean is designed to hold lead in solution for effective removal.
Lead-Clean is also two products on one. For use prior to lead paint encapsulation, let it dwell longer and a special deglossing agent helps insure proper adherence.
