B. Surface Condition - Apply to a dry surface.
C. Application and Removal - Apply Back To Nature Safer River Rock Remover to the dry surface at 20 mils thick (a spread rate of approximately 75 square feet per gallon). It can be applied with a mop, squeegee, brush, long nap roller, or industrial pump sprayer. Since it is often hard to know the amount of coating on the surface, porosity orthickness of the rock and due to weatherconditions, a small test area should be stripped to determine the proper application and dwell time needed for removal to occur. Allow Back To Nature Safer River Rock Remover to dwell on the surface a minimum of 8 hours. Check the patch first at 8 hours, then periodically thereafter. For best results apply at temperatures between 60 ºF and 80 ºF. Product activity is reduced below a temp. of 60 ºF and may require additional dwell time before all layers of paint are removed. If rain or inclement weather is forecast, Back To Nature Safer River Rock Remover can be covered in plastic .7 mils or heavier. After product dwells on the surface for a sufficient period of time, loosened river rock can be scraped or shoveled up. Surfaces that have been completely sealed and are no longer porous can also be removed but the surface needs to have holes drilled in it which will allow Back To Nature Safer River Rock Remover to penetrate from the bottom up. Dwell time for this application increases. If product freezes in bucket, let thaw and stir vigorously until product is consistent. No need to neutralize (acid wash) surface. Final clean-up should be done with light amounts of water. Clean tools promptly after use with soap and water.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: Safety goggles are recommended for eye protection. Protective gloves such as butyl rubber, neoprene gloves are also recommended. Maintain adequate ventilation especially in confined areas. If spraying or misting is expected use NIOSH approved chemical cartridge (organic vapor) respiratory equipment (full face respirator recommended).
